Eastern Canada Pancreatic Cancer Symposium

May 12th, Halifax, Nova Scotia

Objectives: To bring professionals together to discuss current pancreatic cancer research, treatment and care in Eastern Canada; to collaborate; and to develop action steps to create future initiatives.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. George Zogopoulos is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Oncology at McGill University in Montreal, and an HPB surgeon. Dr. Zogopoulos is also a clinical research scholar of the Fonds de recherch du Quebec, studying the genetics and onco-genomics of pancreatic cancer. He has established a prospective clinic-based research registry for patients with pancreatic cancer and related conditions (Quebec Pancreas Cancer Study), with an accompanying biospeciman repository.
