Atlantic Canada Pancreatic Cancer Research Symposium

2017 Atlantic Canada Pancreatic Cancer Symposium

April 22-April 23rd, 2017 Halifax Nova Scotia

Objective: to bring professionals together to discuss current pancreatic cancer research and treatment in Atlantic Canada, to collaborate, and develop action steps to improve future initiatives.

  Agenda Topics Include:

   - Current climate surrounding pancreatic cancer research, treatment and resources available in Atlantic Canada

   - Establishing collaborations among research pillars; basic science, translational research, epidemiology and clinical delivery

   - Building a tissue/knowledge bank for pancreatic cancer

   - Networking to establish multidisciplinary collaborations to strengthen grant applications

   Guest Speakers Include: Dr.Drew Bethune (Lung Cancer Tissue Bank), Robin Urquhart (Translational Medicine), Dr.Ravi Ramjeesingh (Medical Oncology), additional speakers TBA.

    Key Note Speaker: Dr.Steven Gallinger
