What is World Pancreatic Cancer Day?
Thursday, November 16, 2017, is a day we will unite and make our voices heard. In the battle against pancreatic cancer, we will show the world we are in it together.
According to a global survey, 60 percent of people know “almost nothing”about pancreatic cancer. It’s time to elevate the global conversation. We will come together to draw attention to pancreatic cancer and highlight the need for greater awareness, funding and research – and most importantly, create a brighter future for people around the globe.

WHY is this special day needed?
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rates of any cancer; a little known fact and one that has barely changed in more than 40 years.

Our strong view is that an annual World Pancreatic Cancer Day will help to bring about a much needed change in awareness levels about the disease and a focus on the need for urgent change.

Thank you so much in advance for your support. We very much look forward to working together to put pancreatic cancer on the global map.

How can I make a difference?
• On November 16th, take a picture with friends, family and colleagues to show we are in it together.
• Use #WPCD and tag @worldpancreatic so your posts can be seen.
